First a little history about the Southeast Treasure Hunters...

The Southeast Treasure Hunters was first conceived sometime in 2007 and actually formed in 2009 by a group of like minded people who had a mutual interest in treasure hunting.

The Southeast Treasure Hunters started with just two or three guys standing in the Alabama Prospecting Supply store talking about metal detectors and Civil War history in the area and how it was hard to find information about it and the history of the area...

The subject finally got around to "Why do we not have a club or group in this area to meet and exchange information?" So, these guys started talking to other people to see if anyone was interested...

They met and talked again and decided that the interest was there and set a date for a meeting and to see if anyone would show up... They were surprised when several people came and everyone that was there liked the idea...

When the Southeast Treasure Hunters was first formed we were mainly a metal detecting club, but soon realized that we were all interested in more than just metal detecting and expanded to include all types of treasure hunting...

So now we discuss metal detecting, relic hunting, gold prospecting, bottle hunting, coin collecting, as well as how to clean and preserve the things you find and other interesting topics...

You do not have to be a member of the Southeast Treasure Hunters to post on the Southeast Treasure Hunters Forum, but you will have to register to be able to see what is inside the forum and make posts.

The Southeast Treasure Hunters value your privacy and take all precautions to protect all information and we do not share information with anyone!!! So any information you share with us is safe...
